#12 MONDAY MORNING

Miss Willow woke us up today. We all slept in til a little after seven o'clock.  The trains pass by the campground 24/7, so we actually plugged in Alex's white noise machine to ease the dogs' awareness. Everyone did really well for their first night on the road.  Willow's mission this morning was to look out the windows. It was dark when we arrived last night so she was all about wanting to explore.
Maryhill State Park is only about 2 hours from home, and we often use it as a starting off point for trips. There's a fishing area, boat launch, and wineries in the area.
Steve is awesome with taking the dogs out in the morning. While I fed the kids breakfast and prepped for school, he walked the campground. The trees are still in winter mode... in just a month or so, the trees will bloom and will be brilliant greens. This is a great spot to camp in the summer. Warm gorge winds and shade.

 Our first morning...
we have a few adjustments to make with storage.
So far, things are really smooth.
After we had breakfast, we did our first RV school lesson. Calendar math, journal writing, and then daily math. Here are the kids' first journal entries:
I am Sierra's scribe for her journal.
Well, it's now after 1 o'clock and we are going to hit the road. The goal: to arrive at a campspot before dark tonight ♡
