Great news! The travel trailer sold immediately. We placed the ad on Saturday and, within a few hours, had a sweet couple out to look at it who asked that we place it on hold until they could come up with cash to pay us. (Plus, we had a waiting list with names of 9 people who wanted the trailer if the first deal fell through. Wild!) Of course, being the amazing and kind man he is, Steve offered to deliver it up North to where the young couple lived. Before he pulled out of the driveway with it, I placed my hand on it and said "thanks for all the fun." And that was it!
Now we have cash in hand to make a new purchase. Hopefully Steve's Cali adventure goes well.
Today was also Alex's last day at school for this year. He is super excited to learn with me & tomorrow morning we are going to Lakeshore Learning to pick up a few needed supplies for home schooling. It will be fun! He has asked if he can write a letter to his teacher from last year (Mrs. G) and I think that will make a perfect first writing lesson. He wants to tell her all about our plans. He is such a sweet boy.

Wednesday 3/8/17Two days ago, I started my Amazon shopping list. Little by little, the items in my cart grew (new duvet for RV, games, books, etc.) and today, the boxes arrived. It feels like Christmas.
When looking at homeschool websites, I came across a blog that introduced me to Bloxels. Today they arrived & the kids were instantly wanting to build.
(I will report back when we get the app downloaded & running.)
After breakfast, we picked up Gramma and headed to Lakeshore Learning for teaching supplies. The kids were super excited to be shopping there and picked out some neat things. It was fun to see what caught their interest. We picked up this money game too.
My huge box of teaching supplies!
After hitting the 'school' store, and dropping Steve off at PDX (he flew to the Bay Area to seal the deal on the new-to-us rig), we made another trip to Target to pick up the rest of our supplies and bins for organizing. I was amazed at how fabulous the kids did while I shopped. They are usually pretty chill when I shop, and even though today was a realllly long day for all of us, they did fantastic. I think the excitement of this adventure fuels us all. Also, I find that if we talk before going into a store about what I am buying, then they tend to not harass me to buy toys, etc. And a reward for positive behavior is to go look at the toy aisles when I am done shopping. When they see a toy they want, they snap a picture with my cell phone to add to their wish list.
When we returned home for dinner, they wanted to play "school".
I think one of Alex's favorite things is our new electric pencil sharpener!
(Also,
forgot to mention that our dear friend Michelle is going to move in to
our house while we are away. The Universe aligned for this to happen
and we are so happy she will be here.)Busy busy day. Time to start making reservations for camping! ♡
