NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

We thought Alex woke up on the wrong side of the bed today... he was a bit grouchy and whiny. After packing up camp at Fools Hollow, (I thought it was Fool Hollow until I read the sign on the way out), we hit the road to head west towards Payson. We are now working our way back towards the Sedona/Cottonwood area for a few days. The drive was absolutely stunning. It also reminded me of many friends and adventures.

We made a quick stop for some basic groceries and soon were again driving along the gorgeous Mogollon Rim.

Sierra began to complain that she was "not comfortable" in her carseat. We heard this over and over again, and looked back to find Alex asleep. Totally not the normal Alex routine. After hitting the town of Payson, we checked out the map for a campsite for the night and got one of the last three remaining spots at Houston Mesa. Since it was nearing 4 o'clock we took it and turns out that Alex has a fever. Bummer! Now, we are all chillin' and laying low. Tomorrow is another adventure day. Hopefully Alex will be back up and feeling better.
